Aquamarine is a calming and soothing stone that encourages truth and letting go of the past.  It is a powerful crystal to use for relieving the fear of public speaking. For spiritual communication, use Aquamarine while meditating.  It is a stone of enlightenment, spiritual awareness, and the ability to become attuned to your own emotions. It is highly connected to the moon and to the element of water.

According to lore, Aquamarine was a treasure of mermaids and it was used as a talisman to bring good luck and protection to the sailors.

The name Aquamarine is derived from the Latin words: aqua, meaning “water,” and marina, meaning “of the sea.”  It is found mainly in Brazil but can also be found in Russia, Kenya, Madagascar, and the Midwestern United States.
