Lapis Lazuli and Sodalite are commonly mistaken for each other.  There are two great ways to differentiate them: Lapis contains gold flecks (which is pyrite) where Sodalite does not.  Also Sodalite generally has more white banding/veining, where Lapis will have more blue banding.
